Morgan Webb is a Canadian-American host, columnist and segment producer. Prior to becoming a TV host, she worked as a website administrator for a dot-com company. Her skills led her to becoming part of TechTV in 2001, and worked behind the scenes for the show The Screen Savers. Morgan Webb is an avid fan of computer technology, and because of her good looks, she began to work on screen presenting tips and advice about Microsoft Windows and Linux, two of the contending computer operating systems used today. She also hosted The Screen Savers on certain occasions. She also became the host of Call For Help along with Chris Pirillo. In 2003, Morgan Webb moved to co-host X-Play alongside Adam Sessler.

Morgan Webb is among the six TechTV employees who survived the series of layoffs done by the network due to its merger with G4 in 2004. G4 meanwhile preferred a change in format, thus it was only her and co-host Adam Sessler who remained in the network. X-Play, which still airs today, had its 500th episode last July 2007.

In 2005, Morgan Webb started writing as a contributing game columnist for magazines, while at the same time doing her hosting tasks for X-Play. Her column “Tips From the Gaming Goddess” allowed readers to email their video game-related questions, which she would answer each month, until February 2007.

Morgan Webb also had a daily video blogging series entitled WebbAlert, which ran from August 2, 2007 to January 25, 2009. The videos were usually 5-6 minutes long and were shown like a summary of the latest news in the world of technology. Sometimes she presents topics of her own interest. Some of the videos include a recap of the future Darwin Award winners, the annual TED Conference and the tech-focused Holiday Buyer’s Guides, which featured the best gadgets and tech-related goods to give for Christmas.

In January 2009 however, Morgan Webb suspended WebbAlert due to schedule conflicts with X-Play. Morgan Webb is the host of G4’s new show, Underground. It is a weekly series that talks about people and topics related to the “internet generation.” It first aired on March 29, 2009.
